Making learning accessible and inclusive is something we are all responsible for and the Regional Support Centre Scotland provides a range of services to support you in your role. We are supported by the leading educational advisory service TechDis, a UK wide JISC organisation in the fields of accessibility and inclusion.
We offer you the following assistance:
- Information, advice and resources to support you and your students
- A wide range of relevant workshops about assistive technologies and creating inclusive eLearning resources.
- Support for senior managers on strategic approaches to inclusive practice in eLearning
- Advice on providing accessible electronic information for staff across a variety of roles within an institution (including marketing, network/IT, library/learning resources, teaching and administrative staff)
- We offer online advisory surgeries, allowing staff from a range of institutions to meet online to discuss and share issues on a range of assistive technology and learning support issues.
- We can help with interpreting and understanding legal requirements of disability legislation in the context of technology and learning.
- We can provide institution wide accessibility self evaluations (OASES) to support managers in colleges and universities to help identify areas of current strength and areas for development in their practice in terms of accessibility and inclusion.
