13.50 - 14.30 - Afternoon Keynote Speaker - Alison Cox (The BRITE Initiative)
In her keynote address, Alison Cox of the BRITE Initiative will invite delegates to join her on a retrospective journey through the last decade before speculating on what the next decade might hold for teaching, learning and technology. Starting the journey in 1999 with Beattie’s challenge to “Implement Inclusiveness and Realise Potential”, travelling via the Scottish Funding Council’s aspiration of “Learning for All” and alighting at the staging post she is calling the “Virtual Discomfort Zone”, Alison will reflect on some of the milestones we have already encountered, before turning the spotlight on the key challenges facing us all as educators in the decade ahead.
