The Xerte Online Toolkit is an Open Source content creation tool developed by the Information Services team at the University of Nottingham with the help of JISC TechDis. It allows non-technical staff to create rich, interactive engaging resources with high levels of accessibility. Follow this link for more information on the Xerte Learning Object Development Tool.
This area of our site holds Xerte learning objects that can be freely downloaded and used in local learning platforms. Based on the Project Based Training model the RSC has used before, the aim is to provide training for staff that is linked to a specific project of their own choosing which is returned to the RSC and shared with the others in the sector. In this way staff consolidate new skills and a bank of new resources is built up for the sector to use.
